About
Us
Let's YAC
is a website dedicated to teens! The Aromas Library Youth
Advisory Group is a team of teenagers from 5 different middle/high
schools working together to promote teen interest in the library.
Yes! The library can be fun! Our main purposes are to advise
the librarian in selecting materials for young adults and
to choose fun activities such as contests, workshops, etc.
for teenagers. The current project we are working on is a
website that will feature cool web links for your own personal
enjoyment and to help you with research projects, movie/book/game
reviews, the latest sports reports and schedules for local
schools, original stories, and fun tidbits and trivia.
In the
near future we will be offering the opportunity of open submission
of original stories, poetry, and art by any teenager. Be on
the lookout for the new site because it will be totally cool
and here soon!
In addition
to their regular jobs, Caroline writes short articles for
the local paper promoting this site. Shea will also be reporting
on the latest from the Girl Scouts and the 4-H Club. Holl-Lee
is responsible for content fill with "Tidbits".
Rachel and Mari have written an article together that was
published in the local paper. Individually, Rachel will double
as and international correspondent and Mari will be reporting
on what it's like for a teen to move to a new high school.
