Aromas Business Association

August Meeting
Donna Galletti represented the Monterey County Sheriff's Office a representative of the San Benito County Sheriff was also in attendence. They gave the group a brief overview of their response to calls in Aromas and a status on arrests made in the area. The Groups' participation in Aromas Day was discussed and volunteers to staff an information booth were assigned time slots. Two brochure concepts were circulated among the membership for their approval. It was decided that at the next meeting, a member of the group would be selected to represent it in the Aromas Community group which includes the Aromas Community Grange, the Watsonville-Aromas Eagles, .the Aromas Foundation, etc.

The Purpose of a Business Association
To create, maintain and promote a safe and attractive environment in which to operate and grow businesses.
To act as a resource to the community in which they operate.

What a Business Association Can Provide
Support to its members through referrals, group advertising, volunteer pool for community events, networking, group problem solving, product and services discounts, and increased political clout.

Business Meetings
Currently moderated by Wayne Holman with Sheila Dominguez as secretary. The meetings are scheduled for a maximum of one hour. Smaller groups may meet or socialize after the initial meeting.

Aromas Water District Office
Aromas has very few places to meet and Mario Iglesias has been kind enough to allow the use of the conference room for these public meetings. Although this is only a temporary solution since membership is expected to blossom. At the July 23 meeting, Mr. Iglesias openly discussed individual resident concerns that these meetings are held in a public office. The use of the conference room will be brought to the attention of the Aromas Water District Board of Directors at their next scheduled meeting for a ruling.

Agenda for the next meeting
The agenda will be published here prior to the next meeting. Please visit this site again for this important information.
