The Backbone of the Community

People of all ages are joining community service groups depending on their interest. The benefit of working as a group is that members share in the decision making and distribute the workload among its membership. It is a good way to meet neighbors and make new friends. But, equally as important is that the community becomes strengthened both by your individual participation and the group's eventual collaboration with other groups. This network of people and groups (organizations) is the backbone of the community.
